Is there a charge for this event? 

There is no charge for the event. Click here if you wish to donate in honor of your loved one.

How long is the program?

The program is approximately one hour.

Why aren’t you holding the event at the park?

Out of an abundance of caution and respect for the safety of the 1,800 families expected to attend, Hospice of the Valley will hold a virtual event this year.  Although we cannot gather in person, we can still honor those we hold close to our hearts. We hope you will join us for this special presentation on AZTV-Channel 7.

When do you start accepting photo submissions?

October 4, 2021.

What is the deadline to submit photos?

The deadline to submit photos for the montage is 5:00 pm November 1, 2021.

What is the photo submission criteria?

We accept digital photos (high-quality smartphone photos are okay) and original prints (photo lab printed). We cannot accept photocopies or prints made from desktop printers. Minimum size is 4" x 3," and if scanned, must be high-resolution (at least 300 dpi). Please submit one photo without text or graphics; do not submit a collage or multiple photos.

Include your name, phone number and/or e-mail address in case we need to contact you. If you’d like your photo returned, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

Why can’t I send a photograph printed from my computer?

The computer prints with dot patterns that reduce the image quality when scanned.

Can you use the photo I sent last year?

Yes, please call us at (602) 530-6992 to request inclusion of your photo for this year’s event. We do not automatically include last year’s photos, so be sure to call.

What if I don’t know how to scan photos?

You may mail the original (along with the Photo Submission form), bring it to our office, or take it to a photo processing center for assistance with scanning.

Can I bring my photo in and have it scanned while I wait?

Yes. Please call (602) 530-6992 first to ensure staff members are here to assist you.

The only photo I have doesn't meet the requirements above, can you still include it? 

If you only have one image that is poor quality, we will do our best to make it work, but cannot guarantee it.

How can I receive a copy of the photo montage?

After the virtual, televised event, we can provide a link to the video. Please contact us at (602)530-6992 or lual@hov.org with your email address. The link will be available following the virtual, televised event.
