Volunteer with us!
It may be one of the most fulfilling things you ever do.
Our biggest need is for volunteers to provide companionship for patients and give breaks to family caregivers. Volunteers visit and read with patients, run errands and offer emotional support.
Volunteers can also work at our thrift stores. Stitch a beach towel into a bath poncho. Sing a song or play an instrument. Provide assistance and companionship in Spanish, including grief support for Spanish-speaking children. Answer phones, greet people and manage paperwork in our offices. Assist with special events.
Whatever you do, know you are making a difference in the lives of our patients, families and staff. We treasure volunteers as valuable members of our hospice teams.
Training requirements vary based on your chosen role. Those who wish to support patients and caregivers complete an extended orientation—a total of 24 hours of training over several days. Orientation classes are held monthly. Applications must be submitted in advance. Call (602) 636-6336 or email us for more information.
