“Understanding Dementia: A Challenging Journey” will be presented from 1–4 p.m. Feb. 23 at Desert Hills Presbyterian Church, 34605 N. Tom Darlington Rd., Scottsdale, 85266.
The no-cost event, sponsored by Hospice of the Valley, features Christie Bonner, social worker for the not-for-profit agency’s dementia program. The presentation will cover dementia and how it progresses; strategies for making meaningful connections; and how to reduce caregiver stress.
