Attention, all bargain hunters: Get ready to score great deals! Hospice of the Valley’s four White Dove Thrift Shoppes are having a 50%-off sale on Saturday, Aug. 15, and Monday, Aug.17, in celebration of National Thrift Shop Day.

Known as the Valley’s hidden treasures, these boutique-style shops offer unique, upscale donations, from designer fashion to vintage home décor. More importantly, every purchase directly funds care for patients and families who need hospice services but lack insurance or financial resources.

Amber Hinson is a newcomer to the scene, recently stepping into a White Dove store for the first time. She insists it won’t be her last. While browsing the aisles, she marveled at the quality and the price points.

“I love the deals,” Hinson said. “But it’s even better to shop where it does some good in the community.”

Cesar Padilla has been hunting for deals at White Doves for years. He sports a pair of cool sunglasses, snapped up just minutes earlier, and raves about the unexpected inventory. “I always find treasures here,” the veteran thrifter said. “There is truly something for everyone.”

Katie Del Real is a self-described loyal regular at the Midtown White Dove — her wardrobe staple since it opened in 2020. Wearing an entirely thrifted outfit, Del Real noted that nearly her whole closet is full of secondhand finds. Her ultimate White Dove deal? A genuine Kate Spade purse secured for a fraction of its retail cost.

“I feel much better spending money on myself if it also helps someone else,” she said.

A quick stroll through the aisles revealed remarkable discounts, including another Kate Spade bag for $45, vintage picnic baskets priced at $18, a collectible Bonzo the Dog creamer and sugar set for $35, a set of beautiful aqua goblets for $5 each, and a retro walnut office chair for $30.
