Medication
When a person with dementia is admitted to Hospice of the Valley, medications are reviewed by a hospice physician to make certain that drugs commonly prescribed will not increase confusion or memory deficits, contribute to falls or otherwise worsen issues associated with dementia. There are medications which can control pain and calm anxiety without aggravating symptoms of dementia.
